Keith Richards - Talk Is Cheap (1988)

Keith's 1st solo output, "Talk Is Cheap," was a pretty solid effort throughout.  Granted, there are times when Keith's burnt-out-husk sounding voice are a bit challenging (and distracting) to listen to, but overall this was a very strong effort.  In fact, it was much better than either of Jagger's solo albums in the 80s.
Songs like "Struggle," "Take it So Hard," "Whip it Up," and "Rockawhile" were classic Keith, and the Chuck Berry sounding "Could Have Stood You Up" is pleasing.  "Make No Mistake" and "Locked Away" are excellent ballads, and "How I Wish" is another pleasant track.  Since this was recorded during the highly publicized Jagger-Richards feud, Keith got in a body blow to Mick with the much-talked about "You Don't Move Me Anymore."

A very good album, definitely better than some of the Stones' material of that time period.
